Key to U.S. Oil's environmental management program is a "clean as you go" philosophy. When areas of contamination are discovered, the areas are remediated to the degree practical as they are encountered. Off-site and third party risks are assessed and addressed in a timely manner. Work on these projects may involve:

• Removal of impacted soil and groundwater during tank and pipeline upgrades
• Subsurface remediation
• Soil and groundwater monitoring
• Response to regulator and landowner environmental concerns
